Building:
The building is purpose built to ensure we meet all legal requirements such as age specific, colourful rooms, outdoor play area. We offer a home to home type environment which makes the child stay with us safe and secure.
Registered
We are registered with Health Services Executive (HSE) and we are members of the National Children Nursery Association.
Opening Hours
We are pleased to say that our opening hours will be 7.30 to 6.30 in order to help parents with the pressures of getting to and from work.
Staff
All of the Staff at Early staff is trained to FETAC LEVEL 5 standard or above. All staff is trained in first aid, basic safety and all have child protection training. It is our policy to ensure that staff are continuously updating their skills and training on a regular basic.
Record, Safety and Security
Safety is of the up most important to use, so all our rooms are specific to each age group. All our rooms are child proof, intercom systems; we have child secure front door, we have a safe enclosed outdoor area, we have implemented policies on entry to the building and child collection.
We have strict procedures in place to ensure the health and safety of your child at all times.
We keep details records on a daily basic for the following: attendance, meals, accidents, sleep, nappy changing, activities, medicine administration and sickness.
We have off street parking which makes it easier to drop and pick your child up in the morning and evening.
Extra Activities
We want to ensure that your child is happy and entertained throughout the year is all part of our programme. We have a full schedule of activities including plays at Christmas, a Santa visit. To make every child’s birthday special we have a party. We also do outings to library, Zoo and parks. We presently have classes with Stretch and Grow.
Outdoors and garden
We at Early Day feel it important that your child get out into the open air, regardless of the weather. We feel it is important for children to be able to learn about nature, so we have our very own planting section where they watch their flowers grow. They learn how to plant seeds and how to look after them before they are transfer to the garden We also have an outdoor construction area where can become builders , they can paint the outdoor walls. We have a separate outdoor area for sand and water play. They also have opportunities to ride bike, climb to help with their gross motor skills. They also can play football, bowling and take part in team games as well as play on their own.
Health and Nutrition
At Early Days will know how important it is for child to have a healthy and nutritious diet for their development and to improve their taste buds
We have a varied menu and only the best quality fresh food is used. We prepared all home made meals in our purpose built kitchen. Our kitchen is health board approved and ensuring that all HAACP procedures are adhered to at all times.
Regardless of what room your child is in we ensure that they receive the correct nutrient are provided for on a daily basis. Our menus are designed on the different stages of a child development, so we can provide meals from babies all the way through to after-school room.
It is our policy to ensure we use low salt, low fat and low sugar products where possible. We used every effort to use fresh food and we follow the food pyramid to ensure that your child has a healthy diet.
All snack and meal times are supervised to ensure a safe and positive environment. We believe that meal time is an important social setting and we encourage our staff members to sit with the children and promote table manners and conversations. We use this time to give older children the opportunity to help set tables and tidy up after each meal time. |
